Why would Samsung be contributing to X.org and Wayland though?

Well, maybe enhancement is finished only not sure if anything is changed with second one:

The Samsung OSG stated purpose has been to "enhance key open source projects through upstream contributions and active involvement with open source foundations."
If second one is not there then RIP.

Another big fish profiting handsomely from open-source and no longer contributing back.

Maybe they are offended by this:

Apple and Samsung fined for deliberately slowing down phones

In a statement the antitrust watchdog said “Apple and Samsung implemented dishonest commercial practices” and that operating system updates “caused serious malfunctions and significantly reduced performance, thus accelerating phones’ substitution”.
Not sure what happened there, maybe Meltdown/Spectre updates Maybe something else too...

He, he, you are better to don't roll within serious businesses

I wonder if this means that Linux on Galaxy is stillborn.
Despite all the coverage there have been no follow-ups, or sightings of beta or even alpha releases.
Such a shame, as it would have increased the utility of using samsung phones as a backup computer at home/office or in hotels.

This means that CoC "harassment free for everybody" might easely reduce quality of linux Changes like this might have severe repercussions, to affect users and might affect businesses too

This year is one of the most interesting with Meltdown/Spectre/CoC vulnerabilities

Since CoC mark all of us as animals by default, then that raise of anima will introduce new diseases which is in turn is good for druggists businesses

@dungeon: We don't need people who can't behave themselves. In fact, good social skills are very important for a team effort. The people complaining about the CoC are the same who would be fired right away from most companies because they are burden on the team.

Well that's a shame but I guess it makes perfect business sense.
Funny that people were offended in this forum last time when I said capitalism isn't compatible with FOSS.

Why don't you taked out Linus Torvalds 20+ish years ago? Man was always like that

If some young Linus like dev appear now he will be banned isn't it - and this is the main joke about CoC

Blah, blah, all that is utter bullshit and you knows it For team effort things are the same as for singles effort, either code is fine or it is not If code is fine there is no problem.

If you don't strive anymore for good quality, quality will be obviosly reduced

If you are operating in a team and part of your team does not like somebody in your team, then that is your team problem - so, just remove him from the team. You don't need CoC to enforce something like this to everybody nor will CoC change fact that you have someone wrong in your team

You can in fact look at mail list history from 1991 forwards. I am sorry to say Linus Torvalds language was fairly like what he is now. He got nastier as he got ignored.

Basically the early 1990s Linus Torvalds was a fairly polite person.
