I wouldn't be surprised if you could sue (on valid grounds) in the united states either.

"Positive discrimination" is an Orwellian concept, and as such it can make sense to the masses, especially if argued for without explaining why discrimination is bad.

If you go to the outreachy website you can see the list of companies that support this openly racist bullshit. Those companies can all but guarantee I will never give them money or support in any way. We live in a bizarro world now where you can be openly discriminatory to certain groups and it's not only socially acceptable it's considered brave and "progressive", and you can openly brag about it on your garbage social media.

And to the Redhat employees here (I know you exist, you pop up occasionally in threads) know that the last two places I worked I personally moved them both away from using RHEL. I don't know how much annual income I have cost you but it's definably a sizeable chunk. Do you think you can openly support this parasitic filth on our industry with impunity? (as if systemd wasn't a big enough reason in itself)

I don’t want to get involved in all the arguing going on in this thread, I just want to know if I qualify for the program as an Owlkin, or if their organization is Ornithophobic.

If ou see it as help for Outreachy, you should see it as help also in that college.
Not really. Free software is software anyone can use. There is no limit to involvement. You are literally not stopping anyone from using it, or registering a github account or contribute still.

Outreachy isn't taking away anything from anyone. Only giving. Its outreaching to the demographics that generally don't contribute at this point to get them to contribute more. That is all

My ass it is. The trolls never contributed code. Bullshit. The Free software world is doing what it takes to keep the dev environment less toxic. Since this is Free software you are Free to fork any of these projects at your leisure for any reason and then run your own projects as you see fit.

To date, there is no TrollBSD. So while you bitch and wine about "co-optng" you are the ones co-opting and trolls never coded shit. In fact youre the same group wishing FOSS ill for decades.

edit: or prove me wrong and fork RH/Debian or some other project you think is too SocJus. Go ahead, you are welcome to try. I encourage anyone who doesn't like outreach programs or minorities to jump ship as well. I will not interfere one bit. We will see where all the talent is.

Where in any of the works of Orwell is this. I want to know. Orwell was actually a socialist, so I'm guessing you didn't read very far into 1984, or any other of his works.

As for people getting offended, anyone who needs special privileges and Orwellian thought police to keep them safe from "evil offensive people" need to man up and realize that getting offended is a part of life, everyone experienced some kind of offense sometime in their life, and likewise offended someone else, but nobody except special snowflakes makes a big deal out of it, they make it a big deal because their personality is too fragile to cope with real life.
That so bullshit. You look at groups like the alt-right the wrong way and they cry "white genocide" for everyone who doesn't follow their strict lifestyle.

Discrimination is positive is exactly in line with famous sentences freedom is slavery, war is peace, and ignorance is strength. Those are from 1984, and how the masses like you mumble them is from Animal Farm.

Ah yes the Alt Right, the group you guys brought into existence by legitimizing their complaints whether you want to claim that they were "jokes" or whatever else. <sarcasm>Gee thanks for that</sarcasm>. Sadly if we don't defeat you idiots fast enough they're going to gain enough inertia to be self-sustaining... <sarcasm>real great job you did there with having things like democratic senatorial candidates calling for white male suicide http://freebeacon.com/politics/maine...g-white-males/ , Drexel University professors calling for white genocide and many more examples... I don't know how those douchebags could have possibly had their nonsense validated</sarcasm>... They're your monster, and thanks for bringing them into existence.
