Phoronix: RandR 1.6 Proposal Around The Work On Linux VR HMDs Support

For those wanting to follow the work Keith Packard is doing for Valve around better supporting VR HMDs (Head Mounted Displays) on the open-source driver stack, he's made a proposal for some changes in what would become RandR 1.6...

Might we see plug-n-play HMD??? Vive is looking better every day!

I really need to burn through my Oculus titles (for the DK2) and decide what I think about games (mostly racing) which have added Oculus support over the years, because that tower is about to topple!

$1,000 PC >> Win >> Win desktop >> Oculus runtime >> constantly bouncing between Steam and Oculus Store—the whole thing is a MESS!!!

Vive V.2 or OSVR is on my radar.
