    This is nice to see. Up to now these screens were only able to be used as framebuffer devices.

      Woot, very nice to see it, but hopefully, writing some bits to bring up some i2c/spi display would not mean one have to write full blown DRM driver. Ideally, one have to code only part of code describing display properties and transferring data from main system to device. If it not going to be like this, it could be more appealing option to write custom app which would upload desired display content to i2c screen.
