    I wonder if 3.17 will make it into ubuntu 14.10. There's a rather improtant radeonSI fix in it.

        According to Micheal, no... but I wouldn't be surprised if Ubuntu back-ported that (and a few other) fixes into 3.16 for use in 14.10 though. That seems to be what they do most of the time instead of just using the new kernel *shrug*
