    I had given via a chance on old km400a pro board. It was to work as HTPC. Well, 3D is broken (opengl), 2d is slow. The board eventually died several day after that.

    Then I have purchased used asus/dell p4sd with p4 2.4ghz and integrated 965(I think) - works like CHARM - fast and full featured.

    Right now we have all 3 major brands to have good drivers with variating degree of extra features/quirks. VIA is only one who is not in the list.
