Or, as an alternative, create a new page in the wiki. Might be a good place for both mock-ups and ideas.

            I've got it!

Something that captures the renaissance of Gallium3D
and the breathless anticipation of the xorg user community:

            A turtle giving birth!

Sure it's slow, messy and painful, but once it's out to sea:
it's gonna be glorious, and it will last 50 years!

            I kid! I kid!

I like the X. simple and elegant.

Oh come on! Stop doing that. If you've mixed it for premium users, you can release it for non-premium users also. Don't tease your users Michael!

Also, if you would like to please the subscribers, fix the freakin' edit-time.

Not bad. I like the fact that it has a uniform height across. It makes more sense since the thing is called "x.org".
I think any x.org logo should include "sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf" :P

Here's my crappy contribution so far:

It looks great! But somehow it reminds me of games. Maybe some day some big software company will decide to go into the console business and they will use it for that. If you ever see it on such a device we all know where it came from!
