I guess not ...

Its in OpenBSD's base install (Xenocara).

I rarely use it. Tends to work well. Kind of feature complete so I don't really know what a fork would offer. Other than bloat and mess.

Long ago it had problems with Vsync and display errors with some menu elements (Linux/Xfce). Sadly no one maintained it back then and my fork journey began.
Picom is also feature complete and slim.
