    HDMI is dead. DP somewhat works. All display standards are garbage, we need a new license/copyright free one.

      This would be the case if TVs would use DP. Although a DP to HDMI exists.

        And PC monitors with PiP that come with one DP and 2 HDMI inputs where the DP has 144hz and the HDMI has 120hz.

          For the sake of godness, please not! We have been happy for 30 years with analog VGA, then came DVI, HDMI, miniHDMI, Displayport, miniDP, USB Type-C and whatever...
