I'm curious about MT8192 SoC BoM price, performance, I/O, and linux compatibility compared to RK3588.

      Me too,
It has GPS and pcie gen3, but the graphics is a lot inferior to rk3588, albeit still powerful enough

The MT8192 is better known as the Mediatek Kompanio 820 and is found within various Chromebooks.

The SoC was announced at the end of 2020 and has been found in some Chromebooks since earlier this year.
I could have sworn this SoC and the MT8195 have not been included in any shipping products yet, and it's better known to me at least as MT8192, not Kompanio.

It looks like a solid improvement to the MT8183, with unambiguously better A76 cores and AV1 support according to this.
