All you folks that are running x server privileged and that are allowing black hat hackers to sit at your computer and work on your xkeyboard settings - you need to stop doing that. Bad things could happen.

Wayland is only 12 years old. And that is less than other platforms doing a major GUI interface change todo it.

12 years are too much, as well. Xorg is overwelmed due to itself obsolescence. The same Xorg developers state that Xorg is no longer adapt to the current necessities of a modern linux operating system. So, to persist in a pathology doesn't fix the aftermaths.

do you really think that 3 years are so relevant? Or do you need an excuse to justify any absurd delays?

Except its not absurd delays. The base to Mac OS quartz started in 1987 and took until year 2000 to be production ready.

The reality is 10-15 years is what the expected time to make a replacement to X11 should have been expected to take. Like it or not Azrael5 you had unrealistic expectations when you look at how long all the others have taken.

Heck Vista just adding a compositor got into a cat fight with GPU makers and cost Microsoft a complete generation of development. This is not a simple or easy process.
