    So HDCP support is added to 4.17. Does this mean in future services like Netflix, Prime Video, Google Play Movies can support 1080p or 4K in Linux?

      I have the same question: Will HDCP content now be playable on Linux? It's stated "Intel HDCP" - is there only an implementation for Intel coming or will all graphics cards work? Will Raspberry Pi 3 + LibreElec benefit from that?

        No. It just enables people to build drm capable devices. Secure content playback requires a lot more in addition. At the moment it's Intel only.

          Thank you for your info! So could a SoC like UP running with HDCP then? It's an x86 SoC with an Intel GPU.
