Phoronix: GLXVND Server Module / Server-Side GLVND Updated For X.Org Server

For the better part of a year NVIDIA developers and Adam Jackson at Red Hat have been working on "server-side GLVND" and this new X.Org Server feature might finally be close to landing...

It'll improve things for people that use Nvidia laptops, folks using discreet AMD graphics already have no issues using PRIME

        Agreed.

However, given the scarce number of possible alternatives for Graphics, Linux developers have to work to bridge the gap.
I, for one, am excited to see the news about the vendor-neutral dispatch library development. I'll continue to despise nvidia for their neglect of the Linux community and the impunity with which they ignore the OpenSource world and its practices.

But vulkan has the same things as GLXVND. So why is GLXVND bad but vulkan is not?
Nvidia is the only one improving and modernizing opengl with AZDO and GLXVND.
Yeah to bad NVIDIA doesnt support the open source drivers a lot. But the devs should seriously reverse engineer nvidia, which is explicitly legal in a lot of countries.
