    Guess, Lenovo ThinkPad E480 would be great laptop... Intel 8th gen with Radeon RX 550, a nice combo for FOSS Linux.

      I moved to modesetting ddx, video-ati is generally better with EXA acceleration for my usage, but since the problem (animation jitter) with GNOME is not solved even by EXA acceleration, it became less relevant for me.
