On Weston the mouse position is offset on the window by a displacement equal to that of the window itself from the topleft corner (its preferred position). Of course this doesn't happen with "real" compositors (Sway, Mutter), but this article is about Weston.

Things I would like to see in Weston:
          • Better animations.
            • Shrink instead of fade-out when close windows.
            • Expand instead of fade-in when open a menu.
          • Snap window to screen edges when moving windows for easier window positioning.
          • Window placement using hotkeys, e.g. WinKey+4 for left side, WinKey+6 for right side.
          • Able to position the dock on the bottom, and maybe left and right as opposed to only the top.

Realistically, Weston is supposed to be just an example Wayland compositor, not made for everyday use. Most of what you're talking about are not intrinsic to Wayland and you would find in compositors like mutter.

Pure wayland is preferable because xwayland is only a wrapper of x11 so don't scam users with this useless features. Users prefer a REAL WAYLAND SYSTEM... if developers are morons unable to make operating systems it's preferable to avoid this kind of fuckiest systems scamming. Xwayland is only the other name of X11.
