    No, not we are two years away, YOU are. It's you damn own fault for buying NVidia. Intel's and AMD's Mesa drivers work just fine under Wayland right now. Just two mouse clicks in GDM and I can run a Gnome Wayland session this very moment.

        Anyway I agree with Awesomeness about the readiness for Wayland. The new AMD architecture is waiting for inclusion, see here, and Intel just works, as well as nouveau.
        So, yeah, only the nvidia binary remains out here.

            Anyone know the state of the kernel side of things? Searching the linux-next repo for did not turn up anything useful.

                Well, some AMD devs usually popup in the AMD related topics, but here the discussion's title is about Kwin, so probably none of them have read your question.
