So, does this technically mean we could bring up ChromeOS as if it were a mere login option for GDM or something? Or even just run it like we can already run Weston in a window within X to try it out? It looks like we'll gain a lot of flexibility from something like this. Even the ability to run ChromeOS on a tablet.

Of course, I could be looking too far into this, but it sounds like a big step in the right direction.

We don't really need more fragmentation. For the good of Linux I hope MIR dies.

For the good of Linux? The reason Linux is everywhere is because of so-called fragmentation not in spite of it. If it where not for fragmation you or me would be running Linux in the first place.
