Does the pixman renderer means you can use Wayland without a 3D graphics card or driver? Will it work even when you find yourself with VESA graphics?, or is that a joke like llvmpipe, requiring a very powerful computer.

It's also useful in the process of porting Wayland to FreeBSD.
It would be hgihly benefical to the Wayland project and Linux this is where abandoned. BSD people reject Wayland anyway making it even more a waste of time.

Gnome's Epiphany Browser is very close. And it's actually becoming a decent browser. It has GTK3, WebKit2(which enables process per tab, plugin isolation for things like Flash), gtkwebkit will now GPU accelerate browser content. I'd switch to it if Reddit Enhancement Suite got ported.

    - The KMS back-end now supports the EGL buffer-age extension.
About time this got in a stable release.

I thought servo was years away.

Anyway. We need browsers for wayland.

In addition to the GTK2 stuff firefox used which is related to this bug, there is some xlib stuff firefox uses which will still be a problem as a wayland client after this bug is closed.

There is another bug specifically for wayland support: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=635134
    It hasn't gotten much love.
