      In the case of remoting just one window, the "whole screen" would be the size of the window and all it's contents, but nothing more, and the small frames would be whatever has changed within that window.

      If someone wants to merge these comments, that'd be nice. Of course, if I thought of this before...or there wasn't a one-minute edit limit...I would have been able to edit my first post to include all of this.

        I add, it might be better for that approach to render the mouse locally, and to send frames only when there are mouse activity other than just moving it, and keyboard activity (except when there are actually changes FROM the program or whatever is being used). Same to instructions.
