It's really psychotic that someone saw a noose in a noose-shaped logo

I find it psychotic that your first instinct was to call someone psychotic.

And I finally realized what that logo reminds me of -- The tool used to plug a tire.

lol, the replies to this make it clear that some people here take everything too serious.

Why they need to attack you, and why it gets upvoted so heavily is beyond me.

I'd love to try hyprland but the people it attracts are terrible for some reason.

Can we popularize killjoys? Like when you are freely donating your time to the public's interest an a killjoy has to show up to try to steal your joy and smear you.

In case anyone wanted to know, Hyprland recently switched away from 'wlroots' to their own lower-level library called 'aquamarine', as in aqua (Latin for water). I am pretty sure a water drop is a fair call here. That was always my take before even knowing the above, but now not much doubts for myself. And sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, just saying

I had to look up the Hyprland logo and, while a noose isn't my first impression I can see how someone can see the resemblance. My first impression was some kind of washer or clip that requires specialty pliers...

I just got Hyprland 0.45 with an Arch upgrade. It added a 'Hyprland (systemd session)' entry to my GDM sessions list, in addition to just 'Hyprland'. When I try and launch as the former, it just pops me back into GDM - have not figured out yet what it is for. I mentioned in a recent post looking to stick with Sway for my minimalist environment, but gave Hyprland another spin, this time with Waybar and Fuzzel. Not going to lie, I like it a lot and becoming my "go to" right now.

And yes, always saw the logo as a water droplet

Unironically the two projects are in a pretty similar state of readiness right now.
