Yes, great work! One of the nice and important features is crossed off now for Plasma.

I really hope that 5.19 will address the main pain points of Plasma on Wayland like the subsurface issue and not working copy & paste in some applications like Firefox Wayland.

Maybe it's time to re-try KDE on my desktop PC.

Don't try it if you want to use Wayland, it's still a mess: you won't be able to even use Firefox on Wayland.

KWin issue then? I sure can use Firefox on Sway.

Writing this reply using Firefox on Wayland with Neon Dev Unstable on a rotated monitor. It's finally working! A few major show stoppers: NVidia support with proprietary drivers does not work and Wine on Wayland requires a special version not included in most distros. A minor KDE Wayland issue...middle mouse click paste still does not work. But if none of the above bother you, KDE on Wayland is nearly ready for daily driving.

One issue in this early release (that also affects current plasma versions) is sleeping/waking does not correctly retain rotated monitor settings/layout. However, hot plugging a monitor from a laptop works flawlessly so far.

Are you sure you're not using XWayland? Also, it's still far from being ready because scaling is super-blurry on every XWayland app.

"I use Plasma Wayland daily and it works pretty well. It's got some bugs, and in some cases major ones, but it has not crashed on me in a year now and with Plasma 5.18.1 I've not encountered any major issues."
