No, people call him a troll because he constantly pops up in unrelated threads, spewing crap that has nothing to do with the thread. So maybe in this case his response is relevant to the thread. What about the 100 other times when it has nothing to do with the thread?? This has nothing to do with his love for Gnome, or even anything to do with Gnome at all, really. It's because of his attitude, his irrelevant and sometimes incoherent rants in unrelated threads, and in general being an assclown. It's possible to have an opinion and present that opinion without being a complete and utter asshole. Maybe he should try it sometime. But he won't, because he's a troll, and gets a rise out of riling people up (aka, trolling).

You are the absolute last person on Phoronix that has the right to say "get back on topic". 99% of your posts are off-topic, and you know it. Then you try to seem like someone that's being persecuted and ganged-up on by everyone else, and plead to "get back on topic".

Anyone that's been on web forums for the past decade knows the traits of trollish responses. Trying to turn it around and make it seem like people are all against you. Your short sentences, the cadence of how you say things, etc. Insulting comments wrapped in something that is sort of relevant, so it sometimes can't be dismissed outright. It's extremely obvious to anyone with experience that you are a very good troll. And the fact that you've derailed YET ANOTHER thread is proof of that.

While this may be true, the problem is that 144Hz is so annoying and always spams the word "CLA" as an attempt to ridiculize KDE/Qt out.

yes thats a side effect of side channel communication because official channels never make "cla" a topic.
like a phoronix.com news like: scandal scandal KDE/Qt is using evil CLA...

so we have Official news sides and computer magazines and no one makes a story like this
and we have "Rebells" who use side-channel tactics to send this message anyway.

the problem is here in my point of view: the ""Rebells"" are on the right side of history.
