For example, run Windows 2000 fully emulated on Qemu. Using the standard emulated GPU is slow. Too slow to even really do office related tasks. However if you connect to it via RDP (in Terminal Services Edition) then it is much, much faster. Just as fast as a non emulated host in many cases. This is the part that is important to me for Digital Preservation.
