Very forward-thinking to put it in a separate repository. :- )

There are barely any D3D12 x86 games out there. Starting progress this soon is impressive.

There's a fair number of high profile ones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ctX_12_support

At least 9 out of the 23 are UWP.

I imagine this would be easier to implement than DX11 to OGL4, and with significantly reduced CPU overhead. But, I'm sure this will still be a very difficult process. I look forward to seeing the results, though.

This probably isn't going to be usable any time soon so might as well get a head start before too many DX12 games are released.

I'm sad they didn't call it "V12" or "VK12". Is there somewhere I can make suggestions for better names?

Most of these games are D3D11 to D3D12 ports and all of them still retain a D3D11 renderer.

Way to go! This could easily become an awesome project if the right people get involved

Thats' all besides the point, IMO...
While all that is true, i think it's also true that as soon as the work is started (and finnished), the better...
Waiting for the market to get flooded with DX12 games and then start work on this seems like a bad idea, to me.
If this work would be complete when the first DX12 (only) title hit the market, i wouldn't complain...
