    The milestone was breached today of having 1,400 projects on GitHub referencing the Vulkan graphics API...

    Phoronix, Linux Hardware Reviews, Linux hardware benchmarks, Linux server benchmarks, Linux benchmarking, Desktop Linux, Linux performance, Open Source graphics, Linux How To, Ubuntu benchmarks, Ubuntu hardware, Phoronix Test Suite

    I think you mean that there are 1400 repositories that mention Vulkan - the results could be contain a note saying "We have no plans to support Vulkan"

    You'll also find most of those will just be clones/forks of bigger projects

      It’s interesting that Rust is third. I wonder if it is easier to use C libraries in Rust than in Go… Or maybe people who like low level stuf like both Vulkan and Rust.

        That's true, but in comparison there are only 120 projects that mention "directx 12" and only 78 that mention "directx12", which gives a clear indication of where open source developers are putting their investments.

          Of course they won't all be unique projects and some might just mention Vulkan and not actually use it.
          But it's an impressive number nonetheless...
