Phoronix: Talos Principle On Linux Should Now Expose Vulkan To All

It looks like the Talos Principle Linux build on Steam has been publicly updated with support for the 64-bit build and the Vulkan renderer option...

      - On Linux, it may be necessary to switch to Vulkan via +gfx_strAPI "VLK" command line parameter, as dynamic switching via menus may cause issues. Also, it is recommended to delete Talos.ini file from UserData folder prior to starting the game with Vulkan for the first time on Linux. The path should look something like this:
      /home/[user]/Steam/userdata/[userid]/257510/local/Talos.ini
With ivy bridge it extremely likely wouldn't work anyway, but it doesn't look like it's even attempting to use vulkan.
SteamApps/common/The\ Talos\ Principle/Log/Talos.log says: Gfx API: OpenGL and I don't see any of the usual vulkan warnings that ivy bridge support is unfinished anywhere. I'm using steam beta and talos beta. Is there something else to do?
Edit: Yes, there is: right click and select Play (64 bit). Restart the steam client if it doesn't show up. http://steamcommunity.com/app/257510...7613565426479/
      As expected it fails:
"Fatal error: Cannot set display mode."
      Code:
ERR: Cannot set requested display mode 1920x1080: GfxAPI error:
ERR: Vulkan error: Cannot obtain 'vkCmdBeginQuery()' device function pointer.
/me is going back to waiting for working drivers to ship

      At least there's also
      - Fixed shader issues with open source OpenGL drivers on Linux.
which should solve flickering shadows on radeonsi.

Michael is it possible to do a Vulkan Windows vs Vulkan Linux benchmark as well?

Ars technica, has an article with soem benchmark comparisons done on windows, it stated that Talos hasn't actually done any performance tuning for Vulkan yet. The figures just showed a marginal boost over OpenGL

Why not? It would be really interesting to see the day 1 state on both platforms.
