      Yes, that too. Linux needs to accept more diversity and more flexibility in display/video matters.

      Not only Windows holds over Linux in desktop related stuff, but even the outdated and in life support Operating System done by Apple Inc. (aka macOS). Is it a bad joke or it's just intentional and many things are only possible by adding shitty layers as in Android?

        Its just one of the fundamental shortcomings of using Xorg display server, it is just not very flexible with matters like these. There is hope for Wayland or even xWayland? but I have not heard of anyone coming forward and saying 'YES we are working on getting that feature working under wayland' yet....

        The only way to get around the issue with X is to open a second server (or is it x screen?) up for your other monitors, but It seems to open up other issues and isn't very user friendly way of doing things
