      So the features that allow compositors and graphic toolkits to run just using standard vulkan , won't be available on android / the android gpu drivers ?

          How would this solve anything? Bumping up the version number does not say much more than a difference in versions. If they went to 2.0 wouldn't make any difference than the number they have now. But what does help is having the date as a versioning, so you can basically ALWAYS know when the version was released. Not saying they should do that because project owner has the privilege to do what they like.

            Jumping from 0 to 71, it's beyond Mozilla bullshit. I suggest merging the Vulkan and Firefox projects for maximum efficiency. Next release could be 61.72, Google would be mad, maybe even give up and leave the industry.

              Except they jumped from 70 to 71. Vulkan 1.1 is officially 1.1.70.
