Do we know when/if we'll be getting this in Fedora 25?

I also hope it will get to Fedora 25, and that it will solve the Optimus support with GLVND which is currently broken on my XPS laptop.

Fedora needs to have a updated llvm but they have their fist firmly up their ass in getting it done.

Have you ever worked on a distro? Or do you just like complaining from the side lines?

Maybe occasionally stop your incessant complaining about how awful Fedora is since they won't violate their rules for you, and find a distro that just packages the latest everything and then have fun dealing with the breakage that comes with it.

Seriously, people who maintain distros do tons of work that goes completely unappreciated, and people like you really like to be assholes to them because of little shit like this. It's really shitty on your part.

LLVM is a large dependency, and it's a fucking pain from a distro perspective. You come off as a complete ass acting like you know so much better than the people who maintain the distro for a living...

Is the line "the maintainers need to decide", followed by absence of communication with maintainers, code for "we don't really care"?

In answer to your question, yes I have, several its a pain but so is debugging distro's who think they know better about the combinatorics of inter-versions dependency chains than upstream who actually develop the software in the first place.

Actually upgrading llvm doesn't necessarily break the fedora package policy, yet shoving in the nvidia GL dispatch shim half way though a release did and they were happy to do that.

Many get paid to ensure packages are upgraded to fix issues so its not about being a ass as you put it, its about being diligent.

What shit have you been smoking?

Have you got proof that any fedora packager gets paid or are you writing complete shit again?
