    Now on the other hand there exists now cdemu which is nice. It doesn't fool disc checking mechanisms though, but I hope someday it will be able to.
    The funny thing is, while they're not perfect, EA and Ubisoft are actually pretty friendly with GOG (eg. Spore got its first DRM-free release on GOG a few months ago). As far as publishers go, it's Microsoft and Activision-Blizzard who dominate my "pre-Steam CDs that I had to eBay because they never got a DRM-free release" shelf.
