      I don't have Dota2, but I have an R9 290 running with amdgpu and it got the same problems as the bug describes even running the simple vulkan demos.

        already in proposed repo of 17.04, x 1.19.1 in canonical x team ppa most likely it will be pushed to proposed in next two weeks

          I think he refers to radeonsi support in the amdgpu kernel driver. AFAIK it's still experimental but it can be enabled at compile time.
