Phoronix: More Of OpenGL ES 3.2 Is Getting Finished Up Within Mesa

It seems we're currently pacing at a rate where almost each day there is new OpenGL 4.x or OpenGL ES 3.2 activity reaching Mesa Git master...

https://mesamatrix.net is becoming greener and greener!

Would be nice if Intel implemented the two 64-bits extensions that prevent them from supporting officially OpenGL 4.2.

Hey, r600 is showing gl4.1, is that correct? Did somebody implement fp64 for it?

EDIT: Oh nevermind, It does on hardware that supports it, but it still needs an emulator or a softfloat for hardware that doesn't.

AMD GPUs not supporting OpenGL 4.1 must be very rare to find now, don't they?

Only the HD 5800 and HD 6900 series of R600g currently support OpenGL 4.1 (and then all of RadeonSI hardware).

Oh true, it's the r600 drivers we're talking about.

              That work is happening.

Yup, just hardware with native support. That being said, there's a possible student project to implement that in the near future (we'll see what happens), and it looks like Intel had to implement softfloat double support for some of their hardware, so it might provide something that someone can base their work off of as well (not that there aren't already existing C-based fake-double algorithms out there).

And the second iteration of the first set of patches have been posted for review to the list.

Some people still use those especially folks without money to upgrade, those used GPUs sell cheap on the internet, but they are still good enough to run many games(at least on windows where the performance of AMD drivers shines best).

I have an hd5770 on my living room computer that I got for 30€ 2 years ago.
