If you feel lost when trying to know which driver you're actually using, I've made a small page that gives you the drivers you're using based on the commercial name of your card (e.g. HD6780, R9 285, R9 290, ...).
Right now it only manage AMD GPUs, but I can implement more if you can find the documentation
