    Still new to RPi2 land.

Is the VC4 VPU the only reason for a separate distrusted firmware to get RPi2 working with a Linux kernel?
Any other part that needs a blob to work?

With this firmware being accepted in DRM, does it mean the RPi2 should start working with any kernel verion 4.3+?

I'm also interested in the consequences here. RPi has required some custom kernel. Does the mainline kernel work in the future?

So the display engine is still under full control of the binary blob? After all this time? Wow. Well done RPI foundation.
