The first 5 screenshots are from Windows the rest is Linux with OpenGL 4 backend and the lighting is much worse. It's not just darker like it would be with a gamma setting but look at the flame for example.
Here are my shots compared to yours you linked (made on GL4 profile). http://imgur.com/a/j2H6u?gallery While mine are about 5% lighter they are not as bright as yours.
Though I agree that detail wise results between two platforms are not the same. Or maybe all of this is placebo and we really need a gamma slider *o*

Interesting your screenshots look pretty much like the windows version. I'm using NVIDIA 337.19 on Arch Linux with Gnome 3.12. All other games have normal brightness, too.
