Phoronix: Gallium3D MSAA Has Finally Been Merged

More than a year ago there was the Gallium3D MSAA (Multi-Scene Anti-Aliasing) code ready to be merged to master by its author, Roland Scheidegger of VMware. The "gallium-msaa" branch made the necessary changes to support this form of anti-aliasing in the Gallium3D driver architecture, but at the time wasn't actually hooked into by any of the drivers. Now the Gallium3D MSAA work has finally landed in master and it's also now supported by a number of the GPU drivers...

The article was inexplicably announcing the merge of the gallium-msaa branch yesterday, after waiting more than a year.

But it was merged in May 2010. No idea what was going on with the article.

Not to mention that there's no such thing as "Multi-Scene Anti-Aliasing". MSAA means Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing.
