  • Can you enable OpenCL for r600g, please? ( http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...tem&px=MTI4MTc )
As shown in http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Gall...pute/#building , you would need libclc from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libclc , and to pass the '--enable-opencl' flag to mesa (R600 is enabled by default in LLVM 3.4: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...tem&px=MTU2MTY ).
Sadly, I'm unable to donate... but I hope someone else is interested.

In wine steam some of games reports lack of shader model 3.0 support.
I have vendor and device id set for my card.
Few weeks ago everything works fine...

Are you sure you actually want to use Gallium drivers on Intel HD? Official intel driver is i965 and it's not use Gallium.
If you manually set XServer to use Gallium3D ILO driver then you should see "Gallium 0.4" in "OpenGL renderer string", e.g:
        Code:
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on Intel(R) Ivybridge
If you just want to use latest Intel DRI (not gallium one) from this PPA then you should see suffix in version strings, e.g:
        Code:
        OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 10.1.0-devel (git-3618ac4 saucy-oibaf-ppa+curaga)

Latest supported version of OpenGL is exposed in "OpenGL core profile version string".

I have a Radeon HD5770 and this has never happened before. Has anybody experienced similar problems recently?
Try installing this S3TC, it solved some of my problems. World of Warcraft no longer causes rainbow vomit on textures in DX9 mode, which also drastically slows down the frame rate. OpenGL mode also doesn't just randomly crash anymore either, but I still have a strange stutter in OpenGL mode. BTW, D3D is better now then OpenGL due to this issue in WOW.

          Code:
          sudo apt-get install libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0
          [ "$(uname -m)" = "x86_64" ] && sudo apt-get install libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0:i386

          • So I'm using the latest graphics here with xubuntu 13.10, and I just noticed that after about 2-3 days of uptime. X server uses a ridiculous amount of memory.

I'm not sure about the behaviour in stock is right now because it is unusable due to the freeze bug addressed in 9.2.3[1].

Is anyone experiencing something like this?

            • Had to downgrade today latest version kills launching Valve games (tested Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat)

              Ubuntu 13.10, kernel 3.13 (today)

Running an old laptop with Radeon Mobility HD2600.

They just launch, Steam icon changes to "in-game", then 5 seconds later you're no longer listed as in game. A window doesn't even open.

Ran the instructions for purging the PPA and all works again.

Thanks for the suggestion but it seems that these packages are already installed in my system.

Damn, I was hoping it would be fixed today.

Odd that the latest poster has marked it as a duplicate of a bug from last year..? It only started happening yesterday, so something changed yesterday that broke it.
