We have Zink, DXVK and VKD3D

What else do we need? We can run anything on vulkan now.

This is great news. It will make it much cheaper to deliver GPU drivers for Linux.
      Great work!!

Zink is becoming more and more reliable and the games that I've testet in the past worked already well enough for me to use it in several cases instead of radeonsi. Would be nice if I could soon run a desktop compositor on Zink, so far SDDM failed to show even the login screen. Overall Mike does a fantastic job and it is fun to read his blog posts.

I gotta say I love Blumenkrantz's blog posts. They are always really well written.
He explains the complicated concepts extremely cleanly.

Um isn't SDDM pretty much dead and buried these days? Last release from 2 years ago. Stable release only has Xorg support. No commit activity in ~5 months. Only a single reply to new issues during the last 4 months.

I like his style. Especially how he just hates stuff.

Just need qemu to get support for venus, but I think amdgpu may have some issues with as it keeps crashing for me regardless of using venus in qemu, or venus in crosvm...

Well SDDM works fine for me, but yes I do agree there is too less going on and I'm waiting since years for Wayland support. Anyway, it would be nice if Zink would work with compositors, gamescope specifically would be nice as a starting point.
