Phoronix: Zink OpenGL On Vulkan Inches Closer To OpenGL 4.6 Conformance, More Games Working

While there has been less major progress to report on Mesa's Zink OpenGL-over-Vulkan code in recent weeks, Mike Blumenkrantz of Valve and others continue optimizing and fixing this increasing useful implementation. Most recently the game Bioshock: Infinite is running on Zink and there are more fixes in aiming toward OpenGL 4.6 conformance...

I think most of his demos have been radv and anv so far.

I'm guessing NVidia might be what he's planning to demo soon?

I wonder if it can run on the raspi implementation? Might become an important consideration as hangover eventually matures.

I doubt it will happen for a very long time. but this does lay the groundwork for it. I just want to see more legacy APIs get ported to gallium, and it would play really nice with this, Dx1-8 would be great for this.

Zink has OpenGL 4.6 support, but is that both for Core Profile and Compatibility Profile?
I wonder if there will be any OpenGL 4.7 or OpenGL 5.0 coming out...

This would more be a task for DXVK.
They are the Windows hack specialists.

I want Zink to do just GL/GLES and do it super great.
