Since Mesa 20.2 or so AMDGPU CSGO performance with glthread is a lot faster than windows. 10-30%+ depending on which hardware I'm comparing, more cores seems to result in bigger gains. but running on just two cores also had a massive 30-50% advantage on Linux before that.

You can watch this video that breaks down accuracy of weapons as the distance increases. You can test this yourself against bots, try getting a headshot with the ak47 on a bot standing still at A ramp on dust2 while you are in pit. You won't get it more than than ~40% of the time even while single tapping and standing still.

I've seen some strange results relative to Windows discussed here: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/foru...53#post1230653
As mentioned in that post here's some useful reading material that could be useful to analyse your test results:
https://www.anandtech.com/show/16214...d-5700x-tested
https://www.anandtech.com/show/16261...amd-ryzen-5000
I don't have anything newer zen+ so can't do any tests here. It could be useful to test your CPU on Windows if you have a spare drive and some time. I'm sure more 5600X owners will show up later this year perhaps that can give more information.
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 0 glxgears
151909 frames in 5.0 seconds = 30381.684 FPS
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 1 glxgears
150024 frames in 5.0 seconds = 30004.783 FPS
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 2 glxgears
116056 frames in 5.0 seconds = 23211.006 FPS
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 3 glxgears
149922 frames in 5.0 seconds = 29984.303 FPS
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 4 glxgears
150995 frames in 5.0 seconds = 30198.838 FPS
$ vblank_mode=0 taskset -c 5 glxgears
134564 frames in 5.0 seconds = 26912.617 FPS
134832 frames in 5.0 seconds = 26966.281 FPS
Here i thought c2 and c5 was slow.
The beautifull part is i found higher fps in unigine heaven (preset basic) with the core2 the slowest that i believed
Unigine heaven with core 2 alone perfom 211 fps
Unigine heaven with core 3 and 4 perfom 204 fps.
In my bios resizebar and sam are disabled, the cpu seems use internaly maybe, idk.
I remember when i enable resizebar and sam, glxgears result same as the core 2, my overall result drop from 30k to 20k like the core2 here.
Edit: with enabled resizebar and sam, glxgears seems down just by 5%, but unigine heaven result down from 211 to 123 and 204 to 118, i only have vega 56 so not 6000x.

Basically, only one core is guaranteed to be able to reach the turbo frequency. The other cores may or may not be able to reach the turbo frequency at all.
In short here:
With pbo1 i can have single core 4640mhz, when compiling with all thread 4200mhz allcore
With pbo2 with good params i can have single core 4850mhz, when compiling with all thread 4600mhz allcore
Manually oc, 6core0thread = 4800mhz stable
Manually oc, 6core12thread = 4700mhz stable
I think i can push more with disabled core, but still not downcore control for my bios except 1 core alone.
I perform same result (with lowered fps ofc) with base clock boost off or manually set 2.0 ghz low volt.
Seems my lowest core was my best as i said up here.Last edited by kripteks; 11 January 2021, 10:03 PM.
