The concept of a lava pipe is absolutely terrifying, I love it.

Open source is sometime worse than uninspired marketing departments...
Having unique project names helps with web searches.

Marketing is for endusers. A driver or in best case other invisible stuff is no enduser product.

As lava cools into igneous rock, one would hope it is not *too* cool.

It is not marketing, just discoverability. Developers and linux users are endusers. Searching for "enabling lavapipe on linux" will get better results than "enabling software vulkan implementation on linux"

Real life problem I have: I am using conan c++ package manager. Whenever I search "conan <how to something>" I get search results for Conan the comedian/show host, so I always need to explicitely add "conan package manager <how to something>"

Especially if you are using Lavapipe to run Minecraft.

just leave them. They obviously have no clue what they are talking about.

they are usually cool, because hot ones are harder to explore. on earth and on other bodies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lava_tube

So this lavapipe came from a vulkano eruption?
