    works too and is the same as using R600_DEBUG.

      R600_DEBUG is the deprecated naming. AMD_DEBUG is the new one.

        I've used Nir for months now by default and I didn't see any issues.

          Michael The environment variable was changed to: radeonsi_enable_nir=true

            Apparently one of the changes here was to enable NIR for certain internal shaders where it wasn't defaulting on before, even if you enabled NIR. (Unless you used the force option).

              They now have a driconf entry instead of R600_DEBUG=nir or AMD_DEBUG=nir
