Phoronix: Google's New Graphics Driver Developer Flips On UWBC For Freedreno

Rob Clark, the longtime leader of the Freedreno driver initiative providing open-source 3D graphics for Qualcomm Adreno hardware and who just recently jumped to Google to continue driver work, is using his new Chromium.org email address for flipping on UWBC in this driver...

I'm confused. Universal Bandwidth Compression should have as acronym UBC or UBwC, not UWBC, shouldn't it ? it isn't Universal Widthband Compression after all, is it ?
Or it could be for Universal Widespread Bandwidth Compression, Universal Wonderful Bandwidth Compression, Universal Whimsical Bandwidth Compression or Universal Whatever Bandwidth Compression.
Sorry for the nitpicking, I suppose the name comes from Qualcomm or something, and changing it would be still more confusing, but it stroke me as odd, that's all.
Anyway, thanks for free software, whatever it's called. I'll see myself out.

The correct name (e.g. if you look at the actual commit) should be UBWC, at least that is what it is called everywhere in the code. No idea why Michael consistently typoes the name.

And of course BW probably stands for bandwidth.

I can't stop to think that suddenly this is going to convert as a sabotage for the Librem5 phone...

UWBC -> UBWC now fixed up, not sure how I was reading it wrong all the time.
