    Is this a joke?

Apple was adopting so many open standards, but when Tim Cook came, they closed their platform so hard, and it's SO sad.

This will hurt your developers so hard...

These "legacy technologies"? I love how it looks like they are just removing old stuff when instead they are killing very used technologies.

Apple adopted open standards because they were near to bankruptcy at that time. Open Standards helped them to get at least some kind of support. Now Apple is very successful and they can pull out their old vendor-lockin strategy again.

Apple in all it's old glory again.

How are they going to support WebGL in Safari?

But who cares, people who buy Apple products are stupid anyway. They deserve the vendor lock-in, walled garden and whatever cap Apple is doing these days against the users.

It's fine we can just use their native Vulkan implementation!

              Ohh... wait... nevermind.

I see... Is there a possibility of another loss of income, and as such create an endless cycle of opening and closing?

It would be one thing if they were moving on from OpenGL to Vulkan since that actually is an upgrade. But dumping OpenCL? OpenCL ain't in maintenance mode like OpenGL. It's still quite active and being developed.
