LOL at censorship. Still not a single benchmark posted in which Nouveau would come even close to the binary blob.

I suspect NVIDIA is the main culprit for that.

The convention is to name drivers after the lowest-supported architecture. That's how all the GL drivers are named.

This is also true for many other non-GPU open drivers too. like the ones for ECC error reporting, or wifi or ethernet.
