          I didn't really follow this topic, but does nouveau support dynamic reclocking already (for any GPU), or not yet?

                    Great news! That's some progress! But i'm only partially understanding this. Am I right that at some future kernel and Nvidia proprietary driver that these improvements will get fully taken advantage of?
                    If so this kind of makes a stronger argument for laptop gaming if you can keep the GPU cooled down with one of those laptop vent fan attachments. I wonder what the effects are on efficiency and heat. I'm sure you'll eventually get to measuring those.

                      Wouldn't it behoove Valve and Nvidia to aggressively get this implemented across all GPU's that can utilize it and enable recording?
