        this DDX driver can be used without Nouveau's OpenGL driver (unlike the mode-setting driver when wanting GLAMOR acceleration),

        Uhm, glamor can be used with llvmpipe, no?

          Yes, but you would have to change all the documentation to call it "GLAMOR deceleration" instead of "GLAMOR acceleration".
