Just to clarify before it becomes a major confusion: this is NOT about the Tegra internal GPU. This is about the case where you take your 5W ARM system, connect your 150W GeForce to it and then proceed to go on and play OpenArena at a whooping 30FPS. That why the series is titled "Nouveau on ARM", not "Nouveau for Tegra".

Well it's not that far-fetched, Nvidia is advertising such systems with ARM cpus and desktop Geforece gpus.

This is about the case where you take your 5W ARM system, connect your 150W GeForce to it and then proceed to go on and play OpenArena at a whooping 30FPS. That why the series is titled "Nouveau on ARM", not "Nouveau for Tegra".

But future Tegra cores will use Kepler, therefore Nouveau should work with it.

There's some confusion here. Project Logan does not necessarily mean a full GeForce GPU on an ARM CPU. For instance, it's not entirely unlikely that NVIDIA will still use the display controller, and other graphics related components from current-gen Tegra.

I'm as sure as I can get being the guy who wrote that patches. Also I'm the dumbass who dropped the word Tegra in the cover letter, while I clearly meant "any ARM system with PCIe out there".

So? NVidia's 2D Tegra driver + Nouveau's 3D acceleration for Kepler cores = win.

Yah, The reason for that would be entirely due to the game being limited by the slowness of the ARM CPU, the 150w GPU by comparison has near unlimited rendering resources waiting on data from the CPU.
