As for whether we should include it in linux 3.2, it seems unlikely indeed.

There's zero reason I can't think of that we *need* PDAEMON, all the hardware bits are identical to nv50!

Not that we need, PDAEMON hinders our fan management effort. It constantly set the fan speed according to his policy. This is why I said my branch was working up to nva3.

Now if only the open source AMD drivers had appropriate fan management to stop their cards sounding like jet engines in comparison to the closed fglrx driver. :P
