I'm asking this because the OpenGL performance is the same as AMDGPU-PRO's vulkan performance
cannot be hardware limits since the equivalent nvidia cards are much faster

And still seems like not all GCN GPU's are supported.

Fuck you, AMD. Fow how will I have to stay on Windows 7?

Is it also missing quality related features that could widen the gap once they land?

Supported in what way? I can use Vulkan on my Sea Islands ("GCN 1.1") card and Southern Islands ("GCN 1.0") cards are supported as of Linux 4.9, in both cases only if the kernel is compiled with support enabled but such kernels are available without having to compile your own.

I think the only feature we miss for Talos is shader spilling which should land in the coming weeks and I don't expect to be a major hit. Of course bugfixes may impact performance too, in both ways.

              Awesome!
Thank you for the quick reply (and the great work on radv)!

Don't you have a Pitcairn (270X) ? I *think* we have enough fixes in 16.60 for your card to work... it just takes a while to roll all the variants through QA and we don't advertise support until that specific card has gone through QA testing.

I do. I cannot change OS based on "I think", sorry. I'll wait till someone confirms.

Yep, that's fair. I'll try to see if there are any early QA results.
